The UNDERGROOVE –

A Night of Hip Hop Dance and Culture

• Founded, led & co-hosted with the Lied Center for Performing Arts (World's Top 100 Theatre)
• At the time, The UNDERGROOVE was the only large-scale event to feature community members of Nebraska’s Hip Hop culture and of Nebraska’s street dancers. The UNDERGROOVE consisted of an All–Styles Dance Battle, dance performances from local dancers, and other performances featuring DJ-ing and live visual art.
• The UNDERGROOVE has become an annual event collaborating with different co-hosts after the first year.

#SaveUNLDance –

A campaign responded to the proposal to eliminate the Dance Department from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln

• Led and coordinated the student body to execute PR strategies for the campaign
• Represented on TV/news outlets including Omaha World-Herald, 1011Now, KETV, Lincoln Journal Star, etc. regarding the matter
• The #SaveUNLDance campaign resulted in a $180,000/year endowment along with other fundraising commitments annually.

Orchesis Dance Organization

• Invited as the new leader to rebrand and reform the organization in hopes of becoming a regularly active community that is more accessible to people from all dance and performing arts backgrounds (2020).
• After the first three months, the organization hosted over 45.5 hours of free dance sessions and classes in multiple genres including Hip Hop and other street dance styles, Nepali dance, Latin dance, Drag performance, Modern dance, Contemporary dance, etc.
